The purposes of the Club shall be to further and advance the ideals and principles of a responsive, effective, democratic government and to promote equal rights under the law for all residents.

These purposes will be achieved by encouraging participation in, and cooperation with, the public, civic, and political objectives of the Democratic Party; and to contribute, in all endeavors, to the growth and influence of the Democratic Party in town, county, state, and national affairs.
