Join The Beacon for Thursday Shine the Light, as we bring our voices to the street every Thursday from 5:30-6:00 PM.

Each week, we make our voices heard wherever we are. As beacons, we shine light by making a sign and bringing it outside. Don't have a sign? Don't worry! You can borrow one of ours.

Together, we are building visible resistance and organized compassion, meeting our neighbors, and joining together in acts of solidarity. We find joy in resistance through community, music, comedy and street theater.

Republicans are rushing to steal billions in taxpayer funding from the essential services families rely on, all to supercharge Trump’s authoritarian power grabs and give ICE a blank check to keep terrorizing our communities, instead of delivering relief from skyrocketing costs and protecting our rights.

We stand weekly in opposition to this unprecedented assault on the rights, safety, and economic security of people in this country. For 30 minutes every Thursday, we say ICE OUT FOR GOOD and we stand in favor of compassionate democracy and against cruelty, fear and despair.

There are Beacon groups all over the USA. Our local Great Neck group meets every Thursday from 5:30-6:00 pm. We are joined by the Singing Resistance Great Neck to sing songs of solidarity and resistance, old and new.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action that is community-led and grounded in moral witness, public accountability, and collective care. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
