They preach cruelty. We practice humanity. On May 2nd, we're uniting America with empathy.

We’re living through a crisis of cruelty, with an administration that threatens our neighbors’ safety, leaves kids hungry, diminishes our collective humanity, and seeks to divide us with fear and hate.

But we won’t let them win! There’s hope in each other and in ourselves. We can make the difference if we stand up and fight together for a more compassionate world.

On May 2nd, please join the Humanist Jewish Congregation of Queens & LI as we collect food for the family of Tomas Orellana, one of our Great Neck neighbors who is currently in ICE detention, leaving his wife and 8 children with no means of support.

We will be in Firefighters Park from 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, May 2 to receive donations of non-perishable food.
